Major Life Change

I haven’t been posting much lately and there’s a reason for that.  Big changes in the works and the logistics of them have kept me busy and distracted.

We are moving back home to Arkansas to be near the grandchildren (and oh yes the children).  We put the house on the market about a month ago and it sold in… 48 hours.  You think maybe God is in this?  We’ve bought a house in Sherwood.  Now we’re waiting for all the details to get taken care of.  The wait is frustrating and excruciatingly slow.  But we’ll get through it.

The last decision was whether or not I was going to stay here for a while longer.  It looks like that decision has been made.  Now maybe I can think about something else.

I was thinking about the word entropy on the way to work and I think I’ll write something about that tomorrow.  I know you can hardly wait.

About Angus Lewis

My wife and I lived our whole lives in Arkansas until ten years ago. We moved to the Kansas City area in 2011 (a job change). That was the reason for the 'From a Far Country' title. Our children and grandchildren were in Arkansas. Six months ago we sold our house and bought one in Sherwood, Arkansas and my wife moved back down here. Two weeks ago I retired and moved back too. (I'm probably going to try to find something part time to keep me out of trouble.) So maybe the 'From a Far Country' title is not so much of a fit anymore. But I think I'll stick with it. I'm still not home. Not yet. The Bible says we are all strangers and pilgrims here. Our real home is with God and some day we'll be there. We'll be home.

Congratulations! When God does something, He always does it well. My father is an engineer and he as “Entropy” on his license plate, so I for one, will be looking forward to hearing your take on the word!
